Marco is consultant at Avanade and he is specialized in delivering solutions for phone, automotive, embedded and IoT systems.
Microsoft awarded him as Microsoft Embedded MVP for four years (2011-2014).
Prior to joining Avanade, Marco worked as developer and trainer for BEPS Engineering, Microsoft Gold partner startup at Polytechnic of Turin, where achieved Master of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering.
MVPs are passionate about Microsoft technology and recognized for their exceptional technical expertise, their willingness to help others make the most of their technology, and for making a significant and positive impact on technical communities.
This is no small feat: Of the more than 100 million social and technical community members worldwide, each year only about 3,800 are recognized as MVPs.
It's an international competition promoted by Microsoft. Marco presented his project at the Embedded Systems Convention (ESC) at San Jose (CA) during keynote.
The project consists on a Guitar switch, a device that allows you to modify the sound of your electric guitar, play tracks, record yourself, download new effects and watch video lessons. The application runs on Windows CE 6.0 and has a rich GUI made with the new Silverlight for Embedded.
It's a regional competition in which you submit a business plan to develop a startup. The project is Wander Tip, a useful and amazing mobile application that allows you to visit the city where you are, without a guide. It downloads from the web directly on the smart device the itineraries available in range and shows the path to the user, giving information with audio tracks and pictures. The power of the project is the possibility of everyone making a path and sharing it with the community on the web.
Imagine Cup is an annual competition sponsored and hosted by Microsoft Corp. which brings together young technologists worldwide to help resolve some of the world's toughest challenges.
The Software Design Invitational calls on students to create technology that dissolves the boundaries between us. Competitors are called on to design and develop new applications that demonstrate innovation on the .NET Framework and Windows platform.
The submitted project is Yawp, an avant-garde instrument for short distance, instant, aimed, and cost-free communication, developed for Windows Mobile-based devices with Bluetooth capabilities.
